I love cereal. Cereal is a staple in my diet that I absolutely love. You name a cereal and I like it. Some I like more than others. I have had a very tough time in the past naming an all-time favorite. Until 2 weeks ago I didn't have a cereal that I disliked, although Grape Nuts was probably my least favorite and I can't tell you the last time I at them. When I was a kid I begged my parents to buy me some because I thought it'd taste like grape candy or grapes. I was mistaken. I should have learned from this lesson when I found a cereal at Cub Foods that caught my attention. I begged my wife to try it. She relented and I walked down the aisle feeling like a King. Anyway, there now is a King in the bad cereal department. This cereal tops the list (there's only 1 on it) and rules with anger and hatred. Not only that, the King's cereal, King Vitaman, tastes like a bland Cap'n Crunch with a potent gasoline-like aftertaste. Sadly, 193 people have voted this the "All Time Greatest Cereal". Here's the cereal's profile from Quaker Oats. Quaker Oats, you've failed.
Easily, I've come to the decision that John Fogerty's "Centerfield" is the worst song of all time. I have nothing against baseball, in fact I enjoy playing it when I rarely do. I do have something against cheesy lyrics, rhythmic claps, organ toots, and just an all-around bad song. It's my belief that Fogerty rode the wave known as Creedence Clearwater Revival to successfully release this song to the public, who has taken it as an anthem for baseball. Sadly, some of you reading this are probably fans. That's OK, but is it really? Yeah, I'm giving you a hard time. I really don't want to do this, but here is a link to this song. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=04KQydlJ-qc&feature=related The only solace is only 85,000 people have watched it.
The past couple weeks have been a little rough on me in the running department. I've had a strain on my right adductor muscle and it's certainly hampered my training. I've taken some days off and some easy days. I have only gotten 1 workout in. On the plus side, I feel it's on the mend now and hopefully will start real training again soon. Dr. Wade Foelske has helped me out quite a bit. He uses ART (active release therapy) work it out. His website can be found here www.folskeclinic.com Highly recommended!
I heard today that Minneapolis had the 2nd-lowest recorded reading of barometric pressure ever! Duluth set the all-time lowest ever this morning as well (28.39).
